Interesting pose and I like the falling snow. I would like to see more of the eye -- catchlight, color or something.

    Hello Scott,

Thanks for the comments. In a larger image the eye is more clearly defined.
Flash in the snow does not work well. I could artificially put a catch light in the eye or lighten up the face, but it would be totally unnatural in highly overcast conditions.

    Best,
    Chas

Great comp and exposure Charles. Snowfall and raised wings outstanding. Agree that I'd like to see a catchlight.

Good exposure control, and I like the wing position. The falling snow adds interest.

    Hi
I love the pose, exposure & falling snow. I prefer more room at the top & right of the frame.

Exposure is nailed. Like the comp, sharpness and exposure.

    Hi Chas,

I love the feel/mode of this image. The light, falling snow, and pose of the bird blend together very well. Very well done! Thanks for sharing.

    Chas:

Could you have gotten any lower to move more of the bird up against the gray background? It would have really make him standout.

    Cheers

    Hello Randy,

It is impossible to anticipate exactly where the antics will occur.

    Best,

    Chas
