    Default Pied Kingfisher

After 5 trips to Ranganathittu, India for this bird could I get a decent close shot of this species. This is processed only in Lightroom. I let the bright whites (ensured that they were not clipped) be as they were.

This is a full frame image.

Nice job with exposure and very good detail. Might consider going with a vertical crop as I feel there is just a bit too much negative space on the right.

Your tenacity paid off! Although I don't mind the space at right, I wish you had pointed your lens lower to get the bird higher in the frame and more perch showing. Good pose, great HA. The bright OOF BG line passing behind the bill is distracting IMO, and there is a bluish/cyan colour cast the whites.

Thanks for the advice guys... I think I am fine with the space on the right. Will prefer to keep it that way.
Daniel, now that you mention it, I think this image can be a bit warmer...
    Thanks for the critiques...
