Love the upright pose of the bird and the light is sweet. Not sure about the blur on the wings, seems alittle distracting.
Interesting pose, and I like its position on the perch. Had the light come from directly behind (or behind right )rather than behind left then both eyes would have been nicely lit. I'm OK with the little bit of wing blur, but its the blue "fringing" that is distracting.
I actually like the wing blur but I guess that's personal preference. Thanks for your opinion.
I was limited with my shooting angle (strip of land surrounded by water) so I took what the Osprey offered me...a total guess which way it was going to take off when another photographer approached. I'm not sure what you're refering to about the blue fringing...top of the far wing? If that's the case what you're calling fringing shows up in each image where I get wing blur as it starts or stops it's wing stroke. It happens in most of my in-flight Eagle images with low shutter speed and it's somehting I like to see in my images. Again, my preference.
