Here is a picture of a juvenile yellow legs in Jamaica Bay national wildlife refuge. Taken on Artie's IPT. Nikon D 300 S, 500 F4 with 1.4 telly converter that 1/500 F6.3 ISO 1800. Adjusted in light room in Photoshop and an edge over a bird in the on the left side was removed with a quick mask. I know the bird is not looking at you and the eyes are shut, but I like the twist of the head with the bill pointing upward

Myer, I really like the unusual pose also. It seems a bit dark in areas-not sure why. Would love to see a copy of the original.:)

Myer, I took it into photoshop and tried to level itnot my strong suit. I ran some NR on BG and just a tiny bit of contrast and sharpening. I did a quicky but I think the original image has a more natural look that I tried to get in the repost. Maybe a heavy hand of contrast?

Funny preening pose, I can see why you like it:)

Denise's repost is an improvement, but still needs perhaps another 1/2 degree of CCW rotation. I'm not sure what caused the tiny black dots around the raised feathers and in the reflection of the first post, but I agree the contrast was a bit much.

Myer, I also see a slight color cast that I should have corrected in my repost. :)

Myer, I think the pose is interesting and different. I like the blue BG and agree w/ Denise that there is a slight color cast. I like the re post. Nice capture.
