Work has been holding me back from posting or commenting lately, it has been soo busy! Here is another shot from Spitsbergen I was really syked about. We were following the female around, when suddenly she dropped the back of her body and started making a weird sound with her beak up in the air. We knew..........love was in the air and I got in position. I have several of the mating scene but this one was one of the best as the HA of both are almost perfect and the female is looking at the viewer at least.

I did some work on the BG (removed some distracting patches) as to me this shot deserved the best. Also I added an average blur in the foreground. I thought of adding some room on top, but am not annoyed by how close the tip of the wing is to the edge of the frame.

    Hope you'll enjoy

Krijin, Fantastic moment captured. I love the feather details and wish you had more room on top. I think I would take the time to add some as this is just lovely!:)

Very nice, great timing on your part. I think a vertical would have been awesome. I also wonder if darkening the bg area that is level with the white wing would make a better difference.

Just beautiful Krijn. Love the light, colors, low angle, composition (perhaps a bit tight at the top) and the action. Very good job and look forward to see more images from Svalbard :)
