    Default Dabbling

It's been a while since I've worked on motion blurs, so I tried to a few frames with this cooperative subject. The sun had just ducked below the trees in evening lighting.

Tripod, EF 500 f/4 + 1.4tc, Av Mode, IS on
    Camera Canon EOS 7D
    Exposure 0.2 sec (1/5)
    Aperture f/10.0
    Focal Length 700 mm
    ISO Speed 200
    Exposure Bias +2/3 EV

Most processing done in ACR window, I pulled the Clarity Slider up to 100, raised contrast considerably, and moved the white balance further towards blue. No crop.

Dave, This is a cool perspective and the amount of blur seems nice. I'm seeing a color cast on the duck. I think it is a nice blur, I might try a little sharpening to the eye and face if it were mine. It might not look good :)

Love the motion in this one and the extreme close up. Even the water drops on the neck and breast indicate the motion. Cool.

Hi Denise - I applied the blue color balance to enrich the aquatic mood. Here's a version with reduced saturations and sharpening applied to the face.

Thanks for the kind words Patti.

Dave, If you wanted you could mask back in the color to the blue water BG and still retain your same original look.:)
