This Lesser Yellowlegs was very cooperative, and I was especially happy when it hopped onto this rock (which I was praying for it to do). I do wish the foot was not as blurred, but still like it.

Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/160s., f/7.1, ISO 800, +1.3 EC, natural light, handheld, ~80% FF. A streak of whitewash eliminated from the rock in LLC (and corresponding reflection)

Daniel, agree with Krijn...terrific composition. Love that pose. Cant beat the yellow&blue combo.

Great pose! And I like the way you included some surroundings in the composition.

Hi Daniel, Very nice image. I think a slight curve adjustment might pop the photo up a little. I find the 2 whitish rectangular areas in the upper left corner a little distracting. Easily removed with a quick mask. Since there's no such thing as a perfect picture, this will come close :)

Daniel, I really like this one. The rock makes it special. I might remove the two white areas that Lloyd suggests. I also like your composition, leaving enough room to enjoy the scene.

Love the composition, and the little grasses are a nice touch.

Hi Dan, what I see first in this, are the wind swept tail feathers. I like the pose, well placed in the frame, and the blurred leg doesnt distract. If this were mine, I would probably move him back to the left a tad, and take a bit off the top. What do you think? ;)
