    Attached Images Attached Images

The two young coyotes were not very concerned about the human stuck in the head high sage brush. Late afternoon with high cloud cover and smoke from range fires. The combo makes for nice light. Nikon D200, Nikkor 200-400 with 1.4TC, f5.6, 1/250, ev 0.67, iso 400. Minor crop with PSCS3 levels, curves, hue/sat , color bal. & USM, No major changes to original image.

Hi Gary - I really like this - the alert pose on both is cool, the oOF one in the bG retains enough detail and there is just enough separation between them for it to work - IMHO.
Like the colours and the green OOF Bush in the foreground kinda compliments the green area in the upper LHC.
Might just sharpen and lighten the eyes just a tad on the foreground one.
    Good show :)

This is really super Gary with the OOF coyote peering over the one in the foreground. I like the layout of the image a lot. Also, as yo say, the light was very nice- soft and warm. Ideally I would have liked less OOF green at the lower left so you could see the body of the FG animal better. Do you have any of the rear paw LR?

I see some noise in the BG which you could easily remove. Agree with Lance that some lightening around the eyes and face would be good to try. On my monitor the eyes look really sharp. Very well done on this one.

Love the composition, the sharpness, the exposure, the fur details, and the grass environment shown. The background fox adds to the image a lot. Very well done.

Gary - I like this a lot and agree with the other comments. I would like a little more room on the left if you have it so the leg isn't right up against the edge.

I like this. The natural setting and it looks like you did a vignette. They don't seem to mind that you are there.

Thank you John for the favorable coments. I,m self taught in Photoshop with large gaps in my knowledge base. I use PSCS3 and have found noise reduction problematic. Suggestions on approaching this issue in this image would be greatly appreciated.

They are this years pups on a national wildlife refuge. I hope they soon learn that all humans pointing long cylindrical objects in their direction are not harmless. Mom was 300-400 yards away when these images were taken.

John, thanks for the favorable remarks. I use PSCS3 and am self taught with numerous gaps in my knowledge base. Noise reduction has been a problem for me. Any suggestions from you or the group would be appreciated. Do you do the reduction in ACR or PS or both? I have no experience with plugins.

I do not have an image including both coyotes with the rear paws of the forward subject well represented. I have a fun shot of the forward coyote where its paws are visible. I'll post it at a later date.

Rachel, I do have a little more room on the left. After I get some help on noise reduction, the repost will incorperate your suggestion . Thanks for the C and C
