Welcome James. Great bird and great lens, but not that easy to use :) May we assume that this was on a tripod?

Ditto Peter above. The issues he mentioned are addressed in the repost. In addition I reduced the RED cast.

Artie's repost is a big improvement. It's not that easy to get on birds with a supertele, especially when you get up to 800mm and above, but you'll get much more comfortable with time. Some positive EC would have helped properly expose the bird (assuming you were shooting in a priority mode).

I like the original composition a lot. The eagle looks really majestic but, man, thae textures on that granite rock are just a perfect compliment. Original post looks perfect in light and colors in my monitor but
in Artie´s repost most part of blacks areas are showing and intense greenish cast (???)
I echoe Peter´s suggestion about the LRC

Hey Juan, No greenish cast on this side of the pond :) There may be some color management issues. What are the others seeing?

Also, not to be a pain :), but with the bird headed up all that empty space at the bottom of the frame did not work for me.

Not sure about the reasons but the original post looks quite good in my monitor (no traces of red cast). Peter didn´t mention a red cast but both, you and Doug are watching a red cast (?) The repost looks like a damaged jpg or like a posterized image in my monitor. It is probably due to an issue with color management but I wonder where is the issue ;)

I was curious: Here are the RGB #s for the average blur of my repost: 167, 153, 137. Still high for RED. Low for BLUE. As I said, who knows?
