Sorry for my absence, but life is still in the way of fun. Took a break to see what visions I could find and this is the results.

This image, of a Southern Bald Eagle in the treetop, was taken at Merritt Island NWR a year ago. It was previously exhibited in another theme week. But with new tools comes new visions.

Modifications in CS4 included; Accented Edges; Topaz Adjust – Dark Ghostly and Topaz Detail, as well as other normal PS image adjustments. Noise reduction was done with Topaz DeNoise5.

    Enjoy!

I like the thin vertical crop. The tree on the left is a tiny bit close to the frame. I think the lighting on the bird looks more like a halo. Maybe if it were larger?

Hey, Mark. Like the pose and the stark trees.

Very sweet, I like the dark clouds above. I also like Denise's idea of increasing the size of the halo.

I sort of like it but for the glow around the eagle. I think that the head is white enough to carry the image w/o the glow. And teh head angle looks pretty good.

Mark, I like the composition and dramatic feel to it. I agree with Denise about the left tree feeling tight. Nice job.

Mark, I like your vision and image plan. I would love to see this without the glow around the trees and the eagle. I think that, if the bird is going to be that small in the image, the top should be cropped to eliminate the clouds altogether. Other than that, I agree with everything... :D

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

It was an experiment with the new effect. For this image I like it. The crop was to remove the distracting trees on the left I could have cloned, if I had time and did it before the effect was applied. The sky does it for me personally.

While I appreciate all views. I personally like the eagle effect as it gives it the "spotlight" I believe it deserves, as the symbol of our country. But really appreciate all comments received.

    Thank you.
