    Default Juvenile Piping Plover

Added some canvas on the left side.

This image was captured about 15 minutes after the Semipalmated Sandpiper in my last post. The bird was tapping rapidly on the sand trying to stir up some activity beneath the surface.
There were several juveniles around but the adults seem to have already left for the wintering grounds.

Looking forward to your comments and critiques !

Very nice image, Mike. I really love Piping Plovers. Getting low gave you an excellent perspective and makes me feel like I'm a part of your subject's world (something I find very important in an image). Very nice background and well exposed. Thanks for sharing.

Mike, very nice indeed. I like the composition, and the DOF you chose worked perfectly.

    Cheers,

Low angle works well here. Whites seem a touch over??? Great comp. and BG.

Really cute pose and nice details. I think the exposure looks great. I might take a tiny bit off the bottom if it were mine-but that is just a personal preference. Well done.

Very cute, and wicked low angle. I agree a slight crop from below may strenghten the image, and I may tone down the overall exposure a slight touch (and I mean VERY SLIGHT). I like the pose...I can just picture it tapping the ground:)

Agree about the low angle- fantastic; how does your neck feel????

All techs are perfection except that I think the whites could come down a bit.

Superb. Bright whites with detail. Killer low perspective; did you dig a hole??? I love the foot forward pose and of course the juvenal plumage.
