Black Shouldered Kite

My first posting on this net. The shoot was taken at Zeekoeivlei in Cape Town. The light was a little harsh. The image was processed in NX2 and CS5 with a little tutoring.The settings were:
Shutter Speed 1/3200 sec
F 6.4
Exp Comp -0.3
Iso 560
Camera Nikon D3
Lens 500mm F4 plus 1.4 TC
Handheld

Thanks to you all for your comments and encouragement. On the halo issue I attach the image slightly altered which hopefully improves the situation Please comment or I must rework
