I just got the Fractalius plugin, which I do not even know how to pronounce :p I have limited photoshop skills, but I am trying to learn. I think this will be a fun filter to play with, but don't think I have the nerve, yet, to run one of my Bluebirds through it! lol This is my first post to this forum., and one of my very first attempts at using the fractalius filter. Sorry, I actually forgot which catagory of the filter, I used. I think Crayon ? It was the second choice in that drop down menu, I believe. After I ran the filter, I made a layer mask to bring the rabbit's tail and eye back into the picture. Is the eye okay? or should I have tried to make the eye sharper? I think not having the eye totally sharp, added to the mood and blended in with the rest of the image. I definitely liked the image better, being able to see "Peter's" tail and eye.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

This rabbit was munching an evening meal in my backyard.

Glenda, big warm welcome to OOTB! This is really creative and I just love it. I think the eye is just right, it looks "planted" as does the little cotton tail. You've created a place where a slow bunny can become a part of the foliage! The edges of the image appear to be lightened and I would use a vignette to take attention away from them. Looks like another frac addict is born... :) Looking forward to seeing more of them!

Forgot to mention that you can post your images at 1024 pixels wide and 800 tall. Would love to see this one bigger!

Glenda, Big welcome to OOTB! A lovely first post also. I think the eye and tail look great, if the eye were sharper it wouldn't fit the softness of the image. I really like the foliage and grasses and the effect the fract. had on them. I can't wait to see one of your wonderful BB images w/ the effect. Most folks start out here thinking they will just give one image a try-then they are hooked, before you know it they are doing all kinds of creative stuff. This is the place to try somethinjg new. We have a talented group that is always willing to share.:)

    Thanks Kerry and Denise.,

I will try some more, and as with the other forums, I always learn from just viewing and reading other's comments. Kerry, I am a little confused on the sizing of the picture, as I thought I had posted this image just about as large as the regulations would allow, but that could certainly be my lack of PS skills. When I changed the horizontal and/or vertical pixel size larger in PS, it made the image over 200kb, so I kept backing down until I got it just under 200kb. I have posted pictures in the Avian forum, I believe the correct size, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong, but would like to post all my images, as large as allowed.

Glenda, welcome to OOTB! And you've been warned - Fractalius can be very addictive:) I love the treatment on the grasses - it really helps him blend in. Hope you post more!
