    Okavango Delta Sept 2008 EOS 40D, EF300mm f/2.8 L IS +2X TC, 1/400" f7.1 ISO 200
    I shot this pretty fast to try and freeze the tongue. I might have been able to do this with a slightly slower shutter speed to increase the sharpness of the back of the head & ears. I didn't excise the flies, because it is Africa. Comments encouraged.

    Hi Bill,

    I agree with Peter.

    One thing to try is reducing the brightness of the highlights to get more details. See the previous thread here http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...inking-Giraffe for a process I recommended. Thanks for posting.

    Robert, thanks for the hint. Your tutorial must be aimed at PC users. The CTL + ALT + TILDA combination on my MAC does not create a Photoshop selection???
