I would have liked the bird to be a little more to the right in the hole....but the breeze was moving the leaves a lot. And I was standing on top of car at the edge with little wiggle room.

    All C&C welcome and appreciated.

Kaustubh, I really like the idea here and think you executed it very well. If the breeze would have blown the leaves over the branch at top right, that would have been great as the viewer's eye would be drawn right to the bird. But congrats on seeing something different.

    Cheers,

The branch in the right side of the frame is a bit distracting but I like the idea of framing the bird with that out of focus green staff. Going off the beating road is the way to get different images and I think that you did a good job here :)

Nice exposure and sharpness on the bird. I might wish for more of a central crop on this one.

Hey Kaustubh, I prefer this one and not only for the crop but also for the opened beak of the kite :)

Kaustubh, I like the idea and the atmosphere generated by the foliage. I prefer the second photo.

I like the concept and the repost but there is just a little too much green blur for me, esp. our lower left. Where was the bird photographed? Yes, a little more to the right. And a little higher...

I agree. I will check if I have some with less of that green blur. This was near Arlington, TX....a suburb in the DFW metroplex. I have got many decent shots with empty FG and sky BG that I will share later.

I love forward to seeing some of those as they are beautiful birds.

Something deferent and works well for me, some out of the box thinking. Like the open beak and exposure is nailed. Like the second post more ;)

The OOF leaves add a lot to the image . Nice idea to use it as a natural frame !!
