Yet another Bald Eagle posting! Alas I wasn't quite ready for take off so the bird isn't positioned optimally in the frame and I don't see any great alternatives. Maybe I'll get another chance, heading out for another survey real soon.

    ISO 400, 365mm, f/10, 1/800 hand-held in a sciff.

    Hi Declan!

Actually I think this is a very powerful image! The diagonal is strong and the expression on the bird is as well. If anything it could use some more tone, perhaps contrast. You could clone out that piece of white snow (Ice) between the wings before the shoreline. Good job, I like this one!!!

Fully agree with George !!! Would also try a duplicate layer, multi;y and lower the opacity to taste Should be able to get detail in the white head Would also select the bill and darken/saturate

Might also consider cloning out the ice on the bg Might make a stronger image !!!! Worth working on Its a good one !!!!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tweaked some but have to put it on the back-burner. The storms in the gulf are subsiding so I'm off to the field. Hopefully I'll have something better upon my return.
