    Default Another Short-billed Dowitcher

Hate to follow Artie's, but here's #2 in my series of SB Dowitchers from Jamaica Bay. Similar to my post of the other day, but with a different head position, which I like. I'm not so sure about the belly reflection. And any more space at the bottom for virtual legs would expose even more of it. Any suggestions? C&C welcomed and appreciated.

Bill, good look-back pose, and well placed in the frame. The light looks nice and soft, and overall nice and sharp. The space at the bottom is fine, but I would maybe take a tad off the top.

Great setting, light, and resting pose. I prefer your other post, as for some reason, this one seems to be a bit lacking in fine detail? Not sure. The other one was very sharp.

Have yet to get a good chance at this species, so I'm jealous!

    Keep them coming!

Wonderful pose and background and love that water!

Would trade more room at the bottom for less at the top.

Sweet pose, love the softness of the water. I agree with trading top with the bottom.

Thank you Stuart, Aiden, Mike and Connie. I can see that a bit off the top and onto the bottom might help. Unfortunately, there was a line of oof debris obscuring the reflection just below where I cropped it. I can't do a quick repost, but if I go back to the original maybe I can squeeze a fraction of an inch more onto the bottom, and can certainly crop the top. I appreciate the suggestions.

Bill, Very nice pose and I like the soft water colors. I think the exposure and details look good. I like the composition, I usually prefer a little more on top than bottom.

Bill, I like the pose and the water colors. Did you run a lot of NR on the water? It looks smoothed out.

Thanks Denise and Michael. Yes, I did run a fairly heavy pass of NR on the water. Too much?
