Default Mute Swan At Last Light

I took this image at Jamaica Bay. I am always trying to find something different or special that catches my eye. I loved the way this Mute Swan was posing at the last bit of light. I added some extra darkening and I cropped it.

Lovely Denise! I just love this time of day and the magic light. Very well done. I like your composition a lot. You have left more water on the bottom part of the image than you normally do. Very nice.

Excellent composition, Denise. I really love this image. With that pose and terrific light, everything seem to have come together well. Love the low angle and the thin separation line on the water. TFS.

Hi Denise, I stopped by and saw this image and felt you did an excellent job on it. First off you captured beautiful light with the swan preening showing an interesting neck position.
The comp seems to be divided 60/40 with an offset subject. Nicely muted backround with a reflection(even though blurred) adds as sense of depth. Finally, you left the slight movement lines intact
which adds to a base. Nicely done!

Denise, the lighting is so beautiful. I love the pose and the horizontal water line and the composition.

Ditto to what everyone else said: wonderful light and color and a graceful pose make this a lovely image.
