    Default Hovering BBWD

This is another one from last weekend at the Viera Wetlands. I kept walking the bank trying to catch the birds as they hovered over the wetlands looking for a place to land. The light early was sweet. Taken with the Nikon D300s and Nikon 500 f/4 with the 1.4TC, attached to the Quick Action Harness, f/7.1, 1/1600, iso 640, post processed in NX2.

Sweet light, love the dangling feet and suspended pose.

Great image BTW, Nancy. I might try darkening down the sky a little.

Nancy, Beautiful pose and details! I think there is a small halo on the bird. Congrats on the series-really well done!

Sweet sweptback pose. Would like to see the sky darker/less CYAN (???) and the highlights toned down with increased density/color.

Good show of the extended wing, and I like the dangling feet.

Nancy, looks good. I think Tony's and Arthur's suggestions regarding the sky definitely would improve this nice image.

    Cheers,

Great comp and pose. Subject is sharp and well exposed with good colours.
