Surf Scoter
Here is an image of a Surf Scoter... used adjustment layers for level, saturation and selective colors. Applied fract on a separate layer and adjusted opacity. Added a layer mask and painted over with differ blacks to open the lower layer for the final effect. Applied usm on the web version. Your c&c will be appreciated...
I'd like to see more of the glow that is possible with a FRACT. What pre-set did you use? Can you post the ORIG?

Hi Artie, I used Glow100 with the default settings. The first image I reduced the opacity of the top layer to blend the original. Here is another one version without reducing the opacity. Just used a layer mask to open up the eye and the a bit of bill.

Indranil, I think somewhere in between your second repost and Artie's. I like seeing the eye:)Nice work with the filter.
Indranil, I like your base image and I agree with Denise on the glow. One look in Fractalius that would be nice here is that "inner glow" you can get with the "depth" sliders. Might be cool on this one but I like Artie's outer electric glow as well. I'm also liking the eye and would like to see it a tad sharper. Good one!

Ah, we are getting there. Thanks gang. Here it is with the eye revealed, the pupil darkened and moved to the center of the eye, and the eye skin darkened. I do like all the glow however :)

Very nice use of frac, Indranil. I like most of the "re-incarnations" except where the eye didn't show.
