Beautiful pose, perch, and bird. I would lose the stub below the tail. As this one looks quite contrasty I would bet that it would look much better with a gentle S Curves adjustment. (I create one and save it so it shows up below their pre-sets.)

Were you at a feeder? Did you set up the perch?

Lovely. Are there not some blues in the great tit? or is that seasonal? I find the yellow to the right a bit distracting - it competes with the yellow on the flanks - for me.

Really great perch and I agree with Artie on removing that stub under the tail. The yellow in the right might be a bit distracting but I think it adds some life to the bg so would leave it in. Very nice image.

Very nice pose, perch, and bg. Closing down a little might have allowed you to get the feet and tail completely sharp. That perch is just awesome!

Thank you for you feedback everyone. Artie The shot was taken from my hide in the back garden and the perch was positioned just by the feeder. It was slightly overexposed and I rescued the highlights with curves and I followed this with Selective Colour as per Digital Basics. Yes I agree I should have removed the stub.
Carl perhaps you are thinking of blue tits, there is no blue on the great tit.
Jim I too wish I had closed down a little - I had the opportunity and should have done it. When I did a sharpening mask I though at first I had missed a little of the perch - as well as the feet but as you indicate it was purely a DOF issue.
I liked the yellow - I thought it was a complimentary colour to the bird.
