    I'm guessing this guy/gal was tired from either fighting over real estate or running up the beach from the waves. In any case , it decided to plop right down in front of me for a short nap.

    Joe, I love this one. The low angle and the composition are special. The sand looks nice too!

    Nice to see one of these guys at rest - it would seem they would need this more often the way they are always on the move! Although I like it as presented it would be interesting to see a version with the bird smaller in the frame with the complete shadow included. The bill and eye seem very (too) black to me. I agree with Denise about the sand, it actually looks quite comfortable:).

    Only PP done was a crop and a little sharpening. Don't know why the bill and eye are so black???

    Love the clean look. You handled the off-angle light well. Ditto Dan on the inclusion of the whole shadow. I would lose the dark speck lrc.
