Little Pheobe

I created this image earlier this year but had never gotten around to posting it. This phoebe was perched on the roof of our barn. The original sky was just plain blue, so I applied two of my cloud textures to it. I then applied another texture over the whole image, which added the vignette and gave it kind of a grungy feel. I also desaturated the image a bit and adjusted the colors tones with selective color. I'm curious to know what you all think of it.

Christopher, I like this concept a lot and have posted a few here, with the little bird in the corner of the image. I like the "big world - small me" feeling and your treatments are very well done.

Christopher, I like how you "made" the sky and masked the bird. I have to confess this is my - favorite little people friendly - bird. We always protected a spot under the eve of the cabin so the Pheobe could nest and eat gobs of insects.

Christopher, I like it too for the above mentioned reasons. I might tone down the vignette just a teeny bit if it were mine but I do like the vignette and feel it adds to the image nicely.

Steve, phoebes are one of my favorite birds too. This is one of a pair that nest every year under the eaves of our barn.

Artie, it looks like you sharpened the phoebe and maybe shadows and highlights (the vignette looks lighter). Christopher - I love the image - the composition especially and the clouds texture.:)

Yes to a small crop, but you also missed the biggest (and I think the most important) change.... And YAW :)

Oh, I see now! You moved the phoebe to the left more to place it on the rightmost third line.
