    It was cloudy and windy at the beach today making for some tough shooting. This isn't your perfect, typical shorebird image...HA slightly off, dirty bill, but I thought maybe the windblown feathers added some interest to what would've been another bird on a beach image.

    Hi Jim, This is not just another bird on the beach image. The bird is a very fresh juvenal plumage Semipalmated Plover, probably the freshest I have seen in several decades of shorebirding. The head angle is fine it is the subject to imaging sensor orientation that is off with the bird angled away from you; you needed to move to your left. A head turn back to you would of course have helped.

    I think the low angle makes this work. Minor flaws aside , a fine image.
