Started with a white sky over lake, low fog, late afternoon image and added the storm clouds and cement wall textures. Various blends and opacity layers.

Looks like it could be a scene from a thriller movie. Nice use of texture overlays and I like the way you have illuminated the lighthouse. You could always add a lens flare to the lighthouse as another option if you wanted a different look. Lot's of possibilities here.:)

Very nice, Steve! I like how the lighting illuminated the lighthouse, and the textures add a lot to the forbidding feel of the landscape. If you wanted to, you could add a vignette to give it an even more forbidding feel. Nice touch turning the lighthouse on! :)

Super job Steve! Big time congrats on this one. Really beautiful base and the texture work gives it even more atmosphere. Laughed out loud when you turned the light on! :D

Thanks kostas and Judy for your time, vision and support.
I'm going to play with a vignette, Christopher. New territory for me. Always fun ;)
denise, thanks for the lens flare idea. Helped me discovered more things in CS5.

Final repost. Thanks for all ideas!!
An additional layer made from an image of granite was desaturated, adjusted for high contrast, and then the texturizer filter :) was applied.
Masked out the center to make it a pseudo vignette and blended 50% with softlight with the "original" lighthouse composite.
Applied a tiny bit of vignette in LR.
Always scared of overdoing it. Appreciate your comments.
