Spinning moth. I think it's a hummingbird moth. 3 textures applied, all blue tones and one with a "star field" look.

Very much an OOTB composition, Judy. I like the spinning effect and the bands of colors which provides an illusion of depth here. Nicely processed.
Judy, I don't usually do this but I am going to ditto Indranil he said exactly what I thought.. I also like the star field look.:)
verry cool , i like the mood it has , good one Judy !
Thanks everyone! I made several photos of the spinning moth but this was my favorite. I might do another one later.
Very neat image, Judy! Love the rippling effect and the star field texture. What exactly was the moth doing?
Like it a lot Judy! So many interesting things going on. Love the rays of color crossing the rings of the ripples, definitely a cosmic look and feel. How did the moth fare?

Thanks Christopher. The moth was trying to fly to get out of the water, poor thing. It was too far out in the lake for me to reach it so I left it there spinning around from the wing action.
Thanks Kerry! It was still there when I left. Too far out in the lake for me to rescue it.
I decided to try something different and to remove the vignette I had on the OP, so here is my re-do with a frame added. I used the same star field look texture and I found another nice blue texture and spherized it and reduced opacity 50% or so as it was getting too dark blue. It is pretty dark but looks much better on black. I also merged visible and ran pixel bender on it to make the ripples more interesting and lowered opacity to 50%.
How do you like the frame? I think it kind of stops the ripples from spreading out of the image.
