This is my first time photographing this species. I like the juxtaposition of the two and the overcast/drizzly day added to this look. I added a subtle fractalius effect.

denise, nice subtle effect! They seem to be posing and pondering the photographer.
I like the evenness of the detail/exposure and even though OOF, the eye catch-light in the back bird brings him back as a companion. More interesting for me :o.
A sweet juxtaposition image with loverly soft light. Are the black belly-bordering lines in the ORIG or from the Fracting? These are both juveniles.

Steve and Artie Thanks, I appreciate it.
Artie, the filter created the lines.
Denise, very nice, I like the overall look. Love the calming colors. The birds are well placed in the frame.
Nice :)

I think it's an excellent composition and I like the subtle tones and fract effect.
Very nice, subtle fract work Denise. Love the pastel color palette and composition. Cute birds!
