ealy December spots - U.S. not Bosque

I have a free Southwest airline ticket I need to use before the end of the year. The best time to travel seems to be early December. I have gone to Bosque a few times so I would like to go someplace else.

I am open to suggestions.

December is a little early for Florida. South Texas is always good and the Whooping Cranes will be in by December. Big Bend is usually comfortable that time of year.
