    Default California Thrasher

I woke up the other day to dense fog and a California Thrasher singing in my front yard. Didn't have time to search for a perch so I grabbed this rock from my backyard and used audio to lure the thrasher to it.

Added a bit of canvas on the top.

Nice bird, nice rock, nice BKGR, poor head angle.... "When the bird is angled towards you the head at least needs to be on straight, on the same plane as the body is angled...."

Nice perch (you picked a good rock ;)), very sharp with perfect DOF, and a so-so head angle. I might trim a little bit of the canvas off the top of the frame.

Thanks, Artie, Doug, and Kaustubh! Yes, the head angle is not the greatest. It's the best thrasher image I have managed so far though.

The perch is excellent as the bg, very sharp. Overall colours make it for me.
