Here's another example of the funny things that can happen inadvertantly when you fire off a burst of frames. I know this isn't the best pose for a field guide image, but I got a kick out of it. Seems it is crying for a clever caption, but I came up blank. Please contribute your suggestions.

Nice exposure, beautiful background, and good reflection. Just wish that I could see an eye.
For caption I would go for something like "going to the other side" since the water is like the mirror and the bird looks like it is trying to go through another side.
Beautiful image...I love your choice of crop and the way the bird is positioned in the frame. The tension of the water breaking is so nice and the color palette and lighting are wonderful. You might be able to squeak a little more contrast out of the whites if you are looking for a bit more pop but I also like it as presented. Very nice!
No idea on coming up with a caption, but the image itself is pretty awesome! I like your composition here, the colours and detail look great, and I like that you've captured a small splash of water as it's head went under.
Hi Bill- have been keeping a eye on these in avian also - Doing mighty fine!!
Like this even with NO HA - well balanced composition - Exposure looks good - colours are good.
Nice capture, especially the little splash in front. I've tried for this a few times. The closest I got was about the same timing on a GBH at Moss Landing, but it put it's head in the water without so much as a ripple.
