Wonderfully colorful image that just screams for more DOF I think.

Awesome image Tony, the comp and image placement is very dramatic and the sharpness of the details is just great. For me the focus and DOF is exactly where it needs to be so I dont mind that is on the shallow side. I tend to like large-medium aperature close up images.

    Thanks for posting.

    Lots of imapct here Tony!!
The glistening sticky globules (say that fast 10 times):) really make this image pop!! The dark BG of course enhaces this appearence but I generally like to see a bit of detail in the shadow areas.

    Hi Tony,

Great shot and the chosen DOF is perfect!
I would however crop this vertical and that way get rid of the long stem and the cloning artifacts on the upper right side.
But i really like this shot a lot!

    Well done!

    Greetings,

Hey Tony, very cool subject, and shot. I tend to like a lot of DOF on a shot like this, so my taste is a liitle different then the comments ahead of mine. Well done.

I love the use of selective DOF here. As you can see, we are a group of varied tastes :)

    (Which is a good thing ;) )

This is awsome. Wonderful use of contrasts (focus/oof, light/dark, green/red, even a plant eating meat). The theme is carried throughout the image. Well done.
