40D. 400f5.6L at f/6.3. iso400. 1/2500s. cropped from horizontal. I have a slightly different pose that I have kept as horizontal crop. I'll post that as well.
I realised that the bank line is intersecting with the head. I was in a very awkward postion on a slope. It was easier for me to put the camera on the ground than holding it steady a few inches higher. Unfortunately, I had left the bean bag in the car.
Hi Kaustubh, I prefer the horizontal crop. The image feels a little dark, and I think you can tighten the crop with your subject further in the right hand side of the frame to really put it over the top. I've attached a really quick repost. I just lightened it with levels and made a crop from the top and right. I love Lesser Yellowlegs. Thanks for sharing!
Like the space in both your posts, but will go for the 1st one. Like the DOF and multi tone bg. Bird is sharp and well exposed with good colours. Well done :)
Hi Kaustubh, great image - sweet light, exposure and sharpness are great. I like the horizontal crop better, but to my eye I think a tighter crop would work for me. Nitpicking, all of them work!
