From yesterdays outing. This species helped to save what was going to be a very poor day at J.Bay. Perhaps it was slow due to the P. Falcon flying around????

Nice positioning and rippled reflection(would have preferred mirror reflection),but good to include the reflection here. Nice green background of various shades.
This white Little Blue Heron is a juvenile and not a white phase as in the Great Blue Heron.

    Charles,
Thanks for the education. I thought a "juvi" and a "white phase" were one in the same. Ooops!!!!!!!

I like the green water and the reflection. Wish the bird's head was pointing slightly towards you, and that the water was a little cleaner. I'm seeing the same color cast in this image that I did in your Tern image from the other day.

I too see a colour cast, and a fair amount of noise on the BG. I like the selected crop. The green surroundings go well along with this white juvie. HA could be better IMO. Raptors can make things slow can they!!

Agree with Doug's critique. Liked the crop a lot.

I really love the comp and colors to this, I will have to go back to see the other image to understand what color cast some are talking about - not sure what I am missing.

Next time maybe you can slide over to get the better head angle ?
