I have been trying to get away from the straight forward portrait's (birdrait's?) and have been pleased with images that have had a little more life to them.
So here is one from an extensive sequence with a Reddish Egret. It danced and pranced, and made it's shadows, but still this ones pops out for me. The water reflections on the under-wings might be a distraction, and it's obviously got cropped wings, and I would love to have had the bill tip at more of an angle, but it feels alive and seems to capture the activity of this bird.
Let me know your thoughts.

I don't mind if you clip the bottom or even the wings as long there is a nice pose. However, you cut everything from the bird, except the head. Sorry this image does not work for me. Maybe getting a little more details under the wings.... don't know!!
