After Ofer's action stuff I thought I share a rather calm image from this morning :)

Perfection! Details, sharpness, head angle, water color....they're all just right.

You don't mention using a flash but it looks like you have used one to me - am I right?

Stunning colours Jan and I really like the look in the eye you have captured- the bird is looking backwards I think. For personal taste I would have given a bit more room to the subject, fore, aft and top.

Hi Jan, I can't add much to the positive comments already made. I just want to that I think this is beautiful! The water is amazing and makes this image special. I agree with Jim that this is ducky:D. Well done and thanks for sharing.

Great sharp detail, IQ and shooting angle. Like the comp and DOF. Subject is well exposed with good natural colours against a killer bg. Well done on a super IMG !

Very nice Jan. Love the colour on water and the details. I tend to agree with the CW rotation. ;)

Jan, as good as it gets with this type of images. Perfect low angle, BG, head turn and exposure. Thx for sharing.

I much prefer the original over the repost. I feel there is no need or justification for cropping so much off the bottom and basically killing the balanced composition of the original. I also don't see the need for any rotation as the bird's body is positioned in an angle in relation to the camera.
