    Default Lesser Yellowlegs

50D, 300 F4LIS + Kenko 1.4, ISO 500, 1/800, F5.6, slightly cropped. Fairly overcast morning, this one seemed to let me get closer than most, had to lie down and play dead. Would have like a bit more DOF but would have had to jack up the ISO on a cloudy day?

nice low angle, like the green in the water, would sharpen the bird a bit more, and lighten the eye a tad.nice shot, thanks.

Super low angle Art, and I agree to a touch more sharpening.

I like the low angle and the head angle of the bird, but the bright bg doesn't do it for me. The focus seems to be about mid body and not on the head.

I agree with Jim. This is not a DOF problem; your point of maximum focus is on the body behind the head. Do like the eye contact and the low angle.
