This image was created at Jamaica Bay last August. I was done with my morning shoot, and was walking off the pond when this juvie flew in and landed right in front of me. Never expecting that he would tolerate much movement, I laid down in the mud again, and he allowed me about 8 images. This image was selected for print and display in a local library show by a lady that runs a website on birds. (Her choice, not mine!) Please let me know if you see ways that I can improve it prior to printing. I ran NR on the bg, but I still see noise, any help? TIA

Yes, the background still shows some noise. Select it and run noise reduction just there.
I would go back in the contrast a bit, with an inverse curve. Check out the tutorial for this in the Educational Resources Forum.

Great angle and pose. Adding to the other comments, I might sharpen the bird a tad more.

Excellent image. I would be inclined to take a bit off of the right and add to the left on this one.

Beautiful pose and bird. The suggestions are excellent and would really improve this photo.

    Hi Grace,

This is lovely. Excellent low angle, details and exposure control. You have a winner here!

Very nice image. Love the low perspective, pose and the settings. The aspect ratio is not my style :D

Great work, Grace. You know I love the low angle. The head angle and perspective together work nicely to create an intimate image.
