For the past several evenings I have been roaming the dirt roads looking for Mule Deer fawns to photograph, using my car as a blind. Last night I found 5 sets of twins! At times the fawns are suspicious of anything new and run to mom. In contrast the does are used to cars, dogs, walking people and so they barely turn their ears to you. I would have liked more sharpness on the face of this fawn. But I thought I was focusing on a standing fawn when I discovered I captured this instead.

I think you did well capturing a relatively sharp image for panning at 1/160 sec. Try some selective sharpening of the head.
There is a strong Magenta and Blue color cast on the animal and the BG. They desaturating both colors to remove it. You can also try Image > Adjustments > Variations in Photoshop (works on 8-bit only images). I did and adding yellow to the original helped.
Thanks so much for the suggestions. Here is a repost adjusting the color cast (why couldn't I see that :( ?) and enhacing the catchlight. I also increased my ISO for last nights deer drive.
