Forget Texas. I'm going to spend some time in Alaska with you! Great exposure and sharpness. Love the mouth filled with fish. How much of a crop?

This is sick! You are not allowed to whine about your arms when you are shooting with a 300 F4. :p

BTW: Did you mean 1/1600 or 1/2500?

Jim: the shutter was 1/1600. Good catch.

Doug: This is about 50% crop.

I love the view of the bird that you captured. Lots of good detail in the blacks. Nice head turn and the prey/food is a plus. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent in-flight shot with spot on exposure. Good catch for the both of you.

    Best regards

Killer detail in the wings and an obviously spectacular pose. I wish that the head were not angled slightly away. Is this from a horizontal orig?

Thanks Alan. Unless the birds are very close and banking it is always easier to work in horizontal format. When banking birds are so close that you are clipping wings that is the time to turn the camera on end.
