    Fantastic bird and image. Good feather details, comp, pose and perch. Like the trees in the bg, make's it more interesting then a blue with just sky.

    Another new one for me, I like it! Perhaps a bit more detail can be extracted from the black under the chin (looks like its pretty blocked though), but all else looks great.

    Very nice Gerard. I like the pose and position of the head. The colors in the face are wonderful. I like the bg too. I had the opportunity to see and photograph this species when I visited Australia. Cool bird! Since, you had plenty of light, I think it would heave helped to stop down more. This may have allowed you to get the bird's tail and the bottom of the branch in focus. A lot of DOF is needed when photographing small birds large in the frame, particularly at very long focal lengths.

    I am enjoying this one immensely as presented. Amazing colors and I love the head position. If it fits with your personal ethics you might consider getting rid of the nub on the branch in front of the bird and smoothing/shortening the jagged one by the far rear claw. All in all superb.
