    40D. 400f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 320. 1/1000s.

    Light angle is less than ideal and lower angle was not possible. Ugly habitat but I dont mind it much in this shot :-)

    I like the muddy legs, exposure looks good. I only wished for the foot to be out (looks like he is about ready to move it) or maybe some wing action. A bit more dynamics would help this a lot.

    Connie, here is another frame. I don't like the HA of the other sandpiper in this one though.

    Despite the HA of the BG bird, I think I actually like the second image for the more alert pose. Both images are good though. Nice exposure and sharpness.

    Looking forward to more shorebirds!

    both good shots,second one ,might tone down the bright spot on birds legs.thanks.
