I'm thinking the egret is just pulling out of the water because of the curved neck. If he were spearing, the neck would be straighter. Unsure of straightening so used the line just under his right foot as a strightening point. Uncropped as I wanted to keep the eater splays on the right.

Nice and sharp with beautiful lighting.
I personally would prefer to see the whole head.

    Just my two cents...

Nice water action, it looks pretty refreshing around the neck. The image definitely needs more CW rotation, and the subject is a bit cramped in the frame. Since this is FF, I'm thinking removing the TC in this case would have been best.

I like the fishing posture, and the splash around the neck adds interest. I like the light cast on the body, and agree a little more room right and bottom will work. Having said that, I can see this as a vertical too.

Hi Scott, Ditto Dan. I am confused by this: " Uncropped as I wanted to keep the eater splays on the right." Any clues? :) Sharpest focus seems to be in front of the head....

Scott, action is nice and so is the spalsh. Exposure looks fine too. Not sure if rotation is needed. reflection looks like it is lined up. If possible, lower angle would have taken this to another level( provided the BG was clean)
