Taken earlier this year, this was my first ever Spring sighting of this delightful goose (we see them often enough during Fall). Turning a corner I got surprised as it flushed from the beach and swam out into the fog-covered river. Luckily it stayed put and allowed me to play with different settings and especially to wait for a proper head angle.

Nice reflection and HA, Daniel. I might consider running noise reduction on the reflection.

Very nice, Dan. I'm a real fan of this type of high key image. I might consider reducing the blue in the wake.

I like this effect - it works for me.
You appear to have a halo round the head - did you sharpen this? You might want to eliminate that.
We have an overpopulation of geese around our house which get used as a subject every time I need to check out a new camera or lens. You've inspired me to try to play around a bit more with exposure and be more creative!!

    Daniel:

Striking, simple image. I do see some sharpening jaggies running up along the front of the neck.
I actually rather like the blue in the wake, adds another color, personal taste really.

That little bit of blue in the water makes this for me. High key images are not easy to pull off , but this is a fine one. Like it alot.
