This is what you get when you can't point north. Canon Mark3 with the 17-40mm lens at 17mm. ISO 100 at f4.5 open for 1 hour.

Very cool. I assume the light is from Moab? What is the light
lighting up the arch? I think it would be interesting to see the light of
Moab (or whatever) in the arch, so if you moved to the left the arch would not
    have blocked the light.

    Roman,

The streaking affect is a nice change of pace from the circular effect. Nicely done. Roger has a good suggestion but is the Moab light that obvious when your standing there vs. how it builds up during an hour long exposure? My point being that placement of the light in the exposure may be difficult to gauge.

    Hi All,
The light from Moab is pretty obvious to the naked eye. I felt that by placing it in the arch I felt it would /could overpower it. The lighting on the arch and snow is from the light pollution and a short amount of light painting.
Thanks all for looking and commenting,
    Roman
PS Alfred.....remember that the longer you keep the shutter open the longer the trails.

Hi Roman--Great shot, as are all the other star trail images you presented at your camera club workshop the other evening.
