As a follow up to my "In the River" post here is the same Gnu reaching safety, I could not find it at home, but I have just found a JPG on my PC at work in UK.:)

Now I need to find the RAW file

Taken at the Mara river on 13th September 2007

Please excuse IQ or colour cast problems I am working in IE with an uncalibrated monitor.

    Ken,
Nice one. I would like to also see a wider version. Is this the one that was held by the crocodile but escaped? I don't know whether the eyes convey a sense of relief? It must have been a fantastic experience watching the crossing.

    Cheers,

Just love the wet look. Maybe one day I'll get a change to witness this.

I like the perspective here Ken, makes you feel as if you are the previous member of the herd that made it through, looking back at your mate as he reaches safety :)

Thanks, this definitely the same guy, I followed him to shore.

I am afraid this was the widest my lens would allow, we were right on top of the river bank.

    Marc..

    Do not forget your earplugs:D
