Juvinille Skimmer...Skimming!

Caught this youngster Sunday a.m. at Nickerson. Sun was in and out, did the best I could.

Shot with Sony A700, Sigma 150-500 DG APO HSM & Sony HVL 58AM Flash. PP done in PSE 6.0; sharpend eye, head and background wing. Saturation added (+10) and run through Noiseware. C&C always appreciated.

Nice action image - a little tight IMO. Maybe more sharpening in head area - Al, was this a large crop.

Hi Al - doing well - Agree with Jeff - a little more selective sharpening to the bird - IMHO.
Like the action timed it just right - a little tight perhaps.
At 1/2500th dont know that the flash had a lot of effect.
Keep em coming ;)

Very nicely captured -- ditto above comments, great wing position, skimming action and coming toward you. A bit more room would help.

Thanks for posting, I've never seen a juvi skimmer.:) I would not have recognized it if it were not "skimming".
