Rachel, I agree with Peter's comments & I think this is a great image. I am surprised to see the grey color. The big horns in YNP are light brown. He has a beautiful curve on him.

    Hi Rachel,
The grey color surprises me as well, it looks like it might have been dull, overcast light? I think the partial view of the sky is somewhat distracting but I like the detail you captured.

    Rachel,

I feel the previous posters are onto something. Zooming out and going lower (if possible) here would have gotten the legs in and put you in a position of not looking down on him. Conversely, a portrait of that head and horns would have worked well and that could be cropped from this image. I generally will not leave the legs truncated as was done here as it leaves the image looking top heavy and out of balance.

Thanks everyone. I have one with the entire body which I'll post separately but here's a crop of this one that I think improves it. Let me know what you think. Btw Katie - I don't think that's sky. You can see it better in the full body shot. The ones I had seen before were brown also. I'm not sure if the grey is because these were wet or if that is just the color they are in Glacier.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel
