    Default Kalahari Lions

I captured this young male lions lying on a small dune in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park one early morning Dec 2008. I rate this as one of my best lion sightings in a photographic POV as the angle and light was just perfect.

Quite the regal pair. You did well producing a natural sky color. Only the three thicker blades of grass left center bug me.

Agreed. This worked out very well and the blue sky BG is just perfect.

Nice image with a beautiful sky. I would prefer a little more room on the lhs. What is the yellow by the leg of the one on the left?

What is the yellow by the leg of the one on the left
Rachel its a flower from the "Three Thorn" bush. (Not sure I've got the correct English name)

Very nice image with lots of great detail, vibrant color and I really like the alert looks on both faces.

Te grass does not bother me at all, but then I am getting quite used to it. The light in the eyes is the only problem for me but it is a very rare shot indeed to get a Lions eyes without shadow. Great "no cares in the world" look down.

The perspective is very nice. That enhances the image. Thanks for sharing.

awesome POV, light and colour here Hendri...the best lion shot I've seen from you for sure...

I've seen the predators in the Kalahari get those shadows on the eyes early, even after 08h00 :(, many of my cheetah shots are the same
