1D Mark IV, Canon 600 f4, 1/2000, f8, iso 640, tripod, Miller fluid head
Taken this morning. The Dusky Moorhens are very active as this is the beginning of their breeding season. I am trying to get them fighting but wasn't too disappointed to get this one...;)
Still struggling with the AF performance of the Mark IV if anyone can share his/hers experience with the AF settings that would be greatly appreciated.
(No, I am not going to buy any booklet/CD/book....:D )
nice action shot, nice water color, good detail in the blacks, unlucky with the wing feathers covering part of one of its feet, but you can not win them all.good shot.thanks.
Nice job on the exposure, great sense of action with flying water, blurred wings. Agree with Chris about the blocked foot, but it still tells the story well. Might consider a more room in front if you have it.
The running/water splashing action, combined with the great low angle, provide a very dynamic image. Having the complete far foot would have been a huge bonus, but still very impressive as is.
