This is similar to the first one I posted that was a lot less detailed. I started from the original large image instead of a small web image so it has a lot more detail. It is one of my favorites because I love the bright colors and cloud and tree textures. I used Pixel Bender and several layers and layer masks and used Topaz Adjust for the colors and enhanced detail.

Judy, It looks like you were having trouble posting the original. Just double check the size and try again under your post in Pane #2. you should be able to edit that post by going to >EDIT POST>GO ADVANCED. Just Pm me if you have any more troubles.
I like the whimsical look to this . if it were mine I might take a tiny bit off the bottom. Colors have a nice punch to them.

Hi Judy, I like the extra detail in this version. Would love to know more about the "pixel bender" plug-in!

It was well under at 900 x 679 and 89kb. I reduced it more and am trying again to post the original.

Thanks Denise. I tried cropping off the bottom but really didn't like it ;) I cropped off a little on the right side though. It finally took the original. Posted it 5 times altogether!

    Default Pixel Bender

I am having issues posting messages using quick reply. I tried to reply to Kerry's message and it had my image in there so I am using reply to thread.

    For Kerry:
Thanks Kerry. Pixel Bender is a free plugin in development from Adobe. It only works with CS5 I think. There was a version for CS4 but I don't think this one works with it. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/pixelbenderplugin/ It is installed as an Extension with Extension Manager CS5 but appears under Filters. I have a gallery of PB images here: http://southernexposure.zenfolio.com/pixelbender It's addicting! I'll probably post more here also.

Wow, this is a beautiful and interesting effect applied with skill. I love it; both the clouds and the trees are great. I need to try this with a bird or two!

Here is a tutorial for PB by Russell Brown http://www.youtube.com/user/russellprestonbrown#p/a There are more filters in PB than just the Oil Paint filter, but it is the best. It can have huge potential as new filters for it are developed. You can even download other filters with the link on the download page. You can google for more tutorials and Russell has another "advanced" one but when I inserted the link it embedded the video. The possibilities when combined with smart objects, layers and painting, especially with the new CS5 natural brushes, are endless.

Definitely. It offers more all around than any other version upgrade and I've been using Ps since v. 7.
